Back on January 24 Reid e-mailed me Linda Vannoy's design for the 2007 Palace Saloon 5K T-shirt. This year's shirt will be black with a blue-and-blue design. Of course, it would be much more effective for me to show the design rather than natter on trying to describe it:

It's a lot like last year's design, but with a different color scheme.

I made a promotional appearance at the Cookie Run yesterday. I decorated one of the fences:

It wasn't right next to the course, but you could see it easily from the finish area (which was also the starting line):
All of my Cookie Run race photography is available on Facebook, http://fsu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2198368&id=5215641&l=b5388. You can see "the cups" in a few of the photos. "The cups" have also been out in the last three months at the GWTC Ten-Mile Challenge, the Wild Mountain Scramble, and the Tallahassee Marathon.

Back on 22 May 2006, the FSView mentioned the Palace Saloon 5K in passing one more time. Chris Rucker wrote this passage in his article, "The mess in Tallahassee: A look into Tallahassee's Messer Park and what it has to offer."
"The Palace Saloon 5k Road Race, the oldest foot race in Tallahassee, has used the Messer as its starting line for over 30 years. Runners from ages 9 to 70 have participated in the event."
